We have been far too busy to blog for a while. Between January and March Reindeer have a long rest after all the drama of Christmas eve - it really takes it out of you. I know what you're thinking! We didn't get chosen this year - well we didn't, but we still have the rest - as we were in training for a long while in anticipation of being chosen as part of Santa's fleet.

Well after a low key start to the year we have been quite busy. We took a small weekend break to Yorkshire - it was very cold and wet so had to stay in doors!! But we did take a picture of ourselves with Ingleborough in the background. We did pop out when Mrs FLN wasn't looking so we could have a look at the lambs in the field.

Robbie and I were looking forward to going to the caves, we were disappointed that Mrs FLN was too scared to take us - the wimp!

Robbie will write another blog entry next week with some more of our adventures.

Call me Reindeer !!?!

Living in the Tardis with Teapot, Timelord and Junior Timelord is a very tiring business for a little reindeer like me. So catching up on some shut eye with a past master like Tiger is a good thing.

Timelord was helping me understand the ways of cricket the other evening as he watched Australia play India. Apparently there was a lot of sledging so I became very excited and thought Robbie and Rudolf would like to play as well.

Then Timelord explained how the Australians invented it and there is hardly any snow in Australia so I became very confused. But he put me right in the end by saying it has nothing to do with sleighs but more about men calling men bad names, questioning who their fathers are and even calling them monkeys.

Now I said that if anyone called someone a reindeer that would be a great compliment and very cool. Later on there was another match with South Africa and Andre Nel looked very reindeer like and every time he finished bowling he did a good impression of antler butting.

I have heard from Robbie and Rudolf that Mrs FLN likes monkeys but I can see why even Australians would be insulted by being called one. Come to think of it I would be insulted if an Australian was called a reindeer.

A new reindeer arrived at Teapot Towers on Christmas Day.

Well, I'm a bit squashed here with my two new acquaintances! They're old hands now.

I arrived in a Tardis!! ok, it was a lunchbox Tardis for Timelord, but I survived! not as much room as the real thing!! And no David Tennant!! Boo hoo! Teapot would've liked David Tennant to appear on Christmas Day, and not just on the telly...........!

Anyway, hello and I hope we all get along.

I've already met Tiger the cat! Only he was jealous of me and I got biffed in the mouth.

He has been very naughty the last couple of days, upto all sorts........ think he was bored as he did not want to go out in the cold, and there are no mice in here, or other cats, to keep him entertained! I don't think either that you can play a piano with the lid shut!! but I daren't tell him!!!

A Very Sad Day :-(

Well we are in a very bad mood - Antler buts all round.

We (the best reindeer ever) were not chosen to pull the sleigh again!!! We were told that we were both too small. I think that is height and ageist. We have spent long hours in training getting faster and stronger. We could have pulled the sleigh - besides - we are unique and magic - they did not seem to understand! Rudolf has been practising his stunt flying and everything. This picture was taken during one of the practice runs I know he got stuck but it shows he can get into tight spaces!!

Well its that time of the year again - yes you guessed it. We have started our flight training. Rudolf is rather unfit after all those biscuits so we have had to put in some fitness regimes this time around. The actual flying starts this week. He will just about get off the ground! We are determined to be picked this year to guide the sleigh. Matthew thought that I was too small but I think I might just be big enough this year. We were so disappointed last year that we are stepping things up this year. As you can see from the picture he definitely needs the practice!!

ow I've just been antlered!!! I am no better I get stuck too, its just its not funny when it happens to me!!!

So I will show some more pictures of our training tomorrow, only if we can get on line without Mrs FLN knowing!!! She doesn't like the flight practice as she worries about us both, she thinks we are too young to pull the sleigh and doesn't want us to miss Christmas eve because of work.

The Cricket

We haven't blogged for a while. We have been missing Freelance Nerd. Robbie has no one to teach him nerd skills and I have not had any fights to sharpen my antlers. Mrs Freelance Nerd is ok on computers but Robbie misses the real nerding. She is rubbish at fighting too, she just falls over when I try to antler butt her!!

Well we had a trip out last monday to the cricket. I have never been before, Robbie went to a match where England played Australia with Mr & Mrs FLN and Teapot and Timelord.

Well we went to Trent bridge with Mrs FLN, Timelord, Teapot, Mr & Mrs Baddog and Junior Baddog, and Dr Spooner.

The weather was very hot, I got a bit burned. Mrs FLN forgot our Magic biscuits so we were very hungry and irritable when we got home!!! *Stamp* *Stamp*

The cricket was a bit rubbish, and there were no other reindeer their! I heard there were the day before.

Naughty Tiger!

Well, we were stunned this evening by the naughtiness of that cat. We went round to TimeLord and Teapots for our tea. Not only did he hog all of Mrs Freelance Nerds time, by sitting on her knee and giving us evil stares!

He then went in the kitchen, trying to get the chicken, he sat on the side and licked the plate that had had the chicken on and the knife used to carve it!!!

Its Been a While

Well we haven't wanted to blog for a while. We always get the post Christmas blues, we hate it when Christmas ends. As you already know we weren't chosen to pull the sleigh, so Christmas was not too manic. We spent a relatively quiet Christmas eve at Timelord and Teapots. Not like normal. We usually help Mr and Mrs FLN but the mine pie and brandy on the table for Father Christmas and the sprouts, carrots and water for the 'other' reindeer and then we are tucked into bed like good little reindeer (well I'm good anyway!) It wasn't the same this year, we didn't put the things out this year, it wasn't the same without Mr FLN. Mrs FLN didn't seem up for it either, she just sprinkled the magic reindeer food on the drive - to help the chosen reindeer fly.

Christmas day was good, but there was a big gap. We got our own musical reindeer stocking with magic reindeer biscuits and jelly babies in it. We got Tiger a special cat cracker (no bang), he didn't seem keen!

We did get the best present though, we got a new arrival in our family, we got a new friend. A friend of Mr FLN's from uni and his wife sent us Percy penguin.

Here we are welcoming him to our family. He is very special and keeps us warm. Percy originally came from the arctic, then he lived in Basingstoke and now he lives here with us. He is brill, he smells of lavender which helps us sleep.

Here we are again trying to play hide and seek. I really like hiding in trees. At new year our friend Posh Bird (well Mrs FLN's friend) let us go round to her house and Rudolf was allowed on the Christmas tree, While I watched the goldfish. Unlike Tiger and probable Percy I would not eat the fish!

Didn't Measure Up!

Well we haven't blogged for a while, we have been busy training for Christmas eve. After talking with Mrs Freelance Nerd we realised it was like training for the Sutton Fun Run, so those of you out there who trained for that will know the effort we have put in. Long hours of flying, eating and sleeping. We are exhausted, only for our hopes to be dashed. We didn't get picked for the Christmas Eve mission. It was decided we weren't yet strong enough and where to small. Rudolf has took it worst, he was laughed at already because of his nose so I think he felt a little humiliated - so I think he needs a bit of encouragement. I am in truth a little relieved we weren't chosen, I think we need to be with Mrs FLN, I don't like the thought of her being on her own at such a tough time, Teapot, Timelord and Al will be there, but she needs her special Reindeer!

Oh well we will have to be content with decorating Teapot and Timelords tree. It took me ages to get Rudolf down from the top - I told him he needed to be good to be the angel!

A Night on the town!!

I thought I would post for a change!! I've not really been up to it, so Rudolf has hopefully kept you entertained with his antics - nothing new there then (I'll probably get butted for that later).

I can't believe it, but yes I did go to the Cliff Richard concert with Mrs Freelance Nerd, her friend, Timelord and Teapot. Mr Freelance Nerd would be ashamed of me. It' wasn't too bad. There were quite a few people wearing tinsle which was very exciting - I like tinsel - noone brought any for me to wear :-( I think I would have looked good with tinsel round my neck. It would have looked great on the photos. I get my photogenicness from Mr Freelance Nerd, as you can see on Mrs Freelance Nerds Blog. Rudolf obviously takes after Mrs Freelance Nerd!!! Anyway back to the point.

Here I am just after we arrived. Someone moved the camera!!! We were very high up and was tempted to fly to the stage - I think cliff would have really liked that (Mrs Freelance Nerd didn't think so), Lyd was up for it, but I realised I haven't flown with passengers before and she is a lot bigger than me!! Anyway there were lots of people there. I was very surprised there weren't other reindeer there, but Mrs Freelance Nerd said it was difficult enough getting me past security, can you imagine if there were more of us!! Think of all the cleaning up - some reindeer are not house trained!

Here I am again, this time with Mrs Freelance Nerd and my new friend Lyd. She is quite cool but a bit worried about her, she seems to really like Cliff and I don't just mean his music!! He must be at least 3 times her age. I suppose I am not that good with ages but he looks loads older than Timelord and Teapot he must be 2 times their age. Maybe he is as old as Father Christmas!

I think Mrs Freelance Nerd looks half asleep, I don't think she was bored.

Here is Cliff doing my favourite song of the night. As you can see from the background it is a Christmas song, his latest one. I liked this and got very excited and started dancing. It made me think of snow and oh maybe Father Christmas will choose me for the sleigh this year as I have grown since last year. I will be able to help deliver the presents with my friends. I can't wait to play in the snow yipeeeeeeeee! Sorry got a bit carried away their.

Hello! One last blog from me, (Rudolf!) on Mrs. Teapot's site! Mrs. Freelance Nerd is back from Nottingham, and on the warpath as I've been a naughty boy! I hope she starts to put us on our own site again................I know people have been SHOUTING!! Well, ........Tiger definately doesn't taste nice! So, I guess I'll stick with the beer and biscuits recommended by Mrs. FL and English Blogger. Tara a bit!! Am I a Brummie or what?!!!! Identity crisis possibly looms. What nationality am I?!! Let me know! Post cards to Mrs. FL please.

Home alone! With Tiger! help!

Now that Mrs FLN has reminded me of my password I thought I better post here. Also Robbie was not pleased in my posting on the Teapots Blog, I better keep him sweet!

Rudolf here!! I'm feeling a bit wary this evening as Mrs. Freelance Nerd has gone off to Nottingham, and whilst she has gone, I've been left all on my own with Tiger. He's already had a biff at me, even though at the moment all is quiet. You NEVER know with cats. They are totally unreadable! Tiger can sit and stare at me for ages, which is unnerving, and not move an inch. Difficult to tell what he's thinking, with his unblinking eyes. I was only going to have a bit of fun, but he did not like me using him as a hot water-bottle! So here I am trying not to move until he's gone to sleep again. Like I said, "You NEVER know with cats." I am also a bit bovvered, "Am I bovvered?" about Mrs. Freelance Nerd as on the TV earlier there was a programme which had just started, (after a lot of humans had been twirling about, and then harangued by some others who told them if their twirling had been successful! Never will understand humans!!) Anyhoo, the programme was all about Nottingham. Ah, says I, Mrs FL has gone there. But it seems there are a lot of scary folk there too, who live in woods and shout a lot and others who live in a castle and are scary. They wear strange clothes. Mrs. Time Lord is not watching it anymore, so I don't know how it ends! So I hope that Mrs. FL does not meet anyone dressed in green and carrying bows and arrows. I miss her. Mrs. Time Lord has been looking at my sparkle and I just know she's itching to brighten it up! Oh well, back to the waiting game. Tomorrow it seems, there will be a dog arriving here called Glennie. Glennie is real, (you think I'M not real? Think again!!) and she is a Guide Dog for her owner who is Mrs. Time Lord's cousin. Tiger tends to go in the greenhouse when they arrive! Should be fun, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

Well, I finally think I can move at long last. easy does it................................................. There I made it! Now, I'll go off to see if i can find something to eat....................mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Mr. Time Lord has been shopping today. Mustn't disturb the sleeping Tiger!! More than my lif'e s worth!Bye for now. Don't tell Mrs Time Lord, (also known as Mrs. Tea pot) that I've ben using the laptop will you? Ta.

Naughty Rudolf

We haven't posted for a while so missing you all. I haven't had time really. Rudolf has been ill and so I have had to look after him as Mrs Freelance Nerd has also been ill and is still unwell now. Who needs a hot water bottle when you have a Reindeer and a semi human with a temperature!

It was all Rudolfs own making, I told him not to eat the carrots that had been put in the compost (they had a lot of mould), but would he listen oh no! He flew out to the compost bin and munched his way through 4 carrots and has been sick and ill ever since.

I don't suppose I sound very sympathetic, I have been looking after him though! Cleaning up and getting water.

I will post some interesting stuff when he has fully recovered. All our best work is together.

Bad Week

Well it seems that we are much in demand to post on our blog, so here we are. It has been a difficult week on two fronts. Firstly after Jolly Green giant threatened legal action we had to consult our lawyers. Timelord had some excellent advice as did Paddington Bear. So Jolly Green Giant you need to watch out, we have a great legal team!!

Secondly we are really missing our owner Mr Freelance Nerd. Robbie could not even type the post this morning and so I have had to step in. We have not been flying this week and so we are in poor training for the big day, we have just wanted to stay asleep.

I miss Freelance Nerd a lot. We used to have little arguments about who's side of the bed it was and I used to antler him. He took it all in good humour! The last time we had our little dayly wrestle will stay with me forever. I wish he was here I think he would be impressed with our nerdyness! Robbie used to watch him work quite often, sitting on his shoulder or tucked into the top of his dressing gown. and sit and read with him before he went to sleep, or woke Mrs Freelance Nerd to tell her what he was reading - not a good move!

I will try and post some nice pictures of us together, when I have worked out how to use the photocopying thing that puts them onto the computer - I stand corrected Robbie just told me it is called a scanner!!

We're Back

Sorry, we haven't posted for a while, we haven't been well we had Reindeer flu!! We hold Jolly Green Giant responsible for this. He gave Man flu to Mrs Freelance Nerd, she developed Bird flu and gave it to Al, he developed Man flu, and then gave it to Teapot, she developed Bird flu and then gave it to us!!!

Jolly Green Giant you are in the dog house!! This flu has seriously affected our flying and put us very off course. Rudolf even got stuck in a tree when he was trying to set off for a short burst of exercise! He then got stuck in a bird house which in the madness he mistook for Teapot and Timelords house!!

Beware of Freelance Nerd's mum!

Otherwise known as Mrs Bonkers in some circles, she has a tendency to kidnap us from time to time and we go to hers and that of Time Lord in the Tardis, house.
When we are there we have wild parties with a group of bears who live upstairs in Time Lord and Mrs "B's " bedroom.
These are a set of Forever Friends and a group of tiny Yorkshire Tea Bears! What else as Mrs "B" drinks Yorkshire Tea on draft. Can't really understand that as she comes from Lancashire!
And years ago, Lancashire and Yorkshire had the "Wars of the Roses" so we are told!! Red for Lancashire and White for Yorkshire.

Last time we were here she put me, ( Rudolf) in the sink and gave me a wash!! The cheek of it! But it got worse because she then had me in the washing machine on "spin cycle"!!! I was dizzy for days!

At the moment I think someone has given her something to quieten her down, so we are safe for now......................................

Well Let Us Introduce Ourselves

Hi, this is me Robbie, I am the oldest out of the two of us. I was born in December 1998 in the North Pole, but moved to Portsmouth for a brief spell shortly after, and then transfered to Birmingham as my permenant residence to be with my owner.

As you can see I am the smaller reindeer, however although small I have the nerdy tendencies and am the brains behind this operation! I have learned all the technical stuff from the master and hope to be able to dazzle you with my brilliance!

Hi I'm Rudolf I am the youngest reindeer. I also was born in the North Pole in December 2000, and moved to Birmingham shortly after to take up residence with my owner.

My age is not an issue though as I have many useful skills, I know how to shop on line, I can fly quite good (sometimes get lost and stuck in trees!), I also feel that I am very photogenic, I guess you can see this.

I have been taking flying lessons for a few years now, in training for pulling the sleigh, however I have not been chosen for the task as yet as I don't yet meet the height requirements!

I can be misunderstood, some think I am the badly behaved reindeer - how rude.
